There certainly is one at the Early Ford V8 foundation museum in Auburn Indiana. Rather it is that one I can't say.

But this one was highly polished and does not look like it did when originally manufactured.

To Bruce's point, A la 2003 Grand National....sorry but not the best photo quality BUT closer to the "original" finish. I remember seeing ALL three SS Ford's, the 1936, the 1960 T-Bird and the 1967 Lincoln in Dearborn at the 1973 Grand National.

I believe the polished one is the one at the Early Ford V-8 Museum. Donated by Joe Floyd.

Yep, the one on the trailer was in barn find condition. Don't know if the ensuing restoration became the highly polished or not. The low luster is more to my liking.

The one on the trailer is the same car. It was stored for many years in a suburb south of Chicago. It was trailered to the 2008 Grand National in Dearborn. The late Leo Gephart bought the car and totally restored it. Unfortunately he also had it highly polished. Leo took it to the 2009 Central National Meet in Auburn after restoration and it received a Dearborn award.

At some point Joe Floyd acquired the car, then subsequently donated it to the Foundation Museum.

Ken, I'm sure there must have been discussions on how it might be returned to a dull luster, how could that be accomplished?

I have always wondered why the didn't do a more appealing body style in stainless other than the rather plebeian "humpback" tudor sedan.
