Got to thinking about the Body Number tag mounted on our Fordor firewall. This tag is a repro that was attached (propably) when the car was restored 30 years ago.
Does anyone know whether Murray kept a record of the numbers they assigned to the car bodies they built? I'm betting that it didn't happen, but I don't know that it didn't. So I'm wondering if anyone knows for sure.......and the whereabouts of such a record if it exists. Thanks! David |

Dave - as you probably know, much detailed Model A manufacturing info was lost in a fire, I believe 1950's? I do sort of recall that somebody (Vince Falter? Steve Plucker?) was compiling a list cross referencing body tag number, assembly plant number, engine number, body style, date of manufacture and assembly plant. I could not find it in my data, so hopefully someone else has it or a link to it.

It'd be great if someone has been/is compiling a list now. |
