Does anyone know for sure if this will replace the original anti rattle spring on a 50 model

I don't, and lacking any concrete knowledge to the contrary, I would expect it's not 100% correct. Doesn't someone have the correct original part for that? I would believe that they are not that hard to find. I know they weren't 15 years ago when I needed one. Try some of the parts sources that have been around for a while : Southside Obsolete, Third Gen, San Dimas, etc. I always wondered why you were considering the Mustang part. If someone has an original one, then you'll be sure.

Thanks. The first of next week I will check with them. I would like to have an original if I can find one.

Well I found an original and had it for a while now I can't find it. It's hell getting old. I think my wife accidentally threw it in the trash so now I am trying to find another one.
I have called a bunch of different places and only found one that had it. Now I am looking again.

I find the fact that a part such as this is so hard to find to be a bit troubling.
