If anyone has this book, could you post clear photos of the generator/cutout description?

Steve
I will look at mine tonight and see what’s printed for you, suffice it to say, I know you are looking for 33/34 4cyl info, as I am too…..unfortunately, and part of the reason the restoration manual is hard to find (as it has not been reprinted) there are many improvements to the manual that need to be made, updated, expanded upon - one being the 4cyl section for 33/34’s which is terribly enadiquit. Unfortunately it is not up to the standards as David Rehor’s excellent 32 restoration guide both in depth and detail and is in “process”, access to make this happen has been on hold for quite some time and doesn’t look like it will happen anytime soon, sadly!!!

I'd appreciate anything you can find. It seems the lowly 4 cyl gets completely overshadowed by its famous big brother. The '32-'34 period saw many ongoing and overlapping changes to the charging system. I have a pretty good grasp (I think!) On the V8 car generator of this period, but just delving into the 4 cyl version. As you probably saw, Im restoring one now. Just trying to figure out the right pieces :-) 1937 is another year of transition I need to understand better.

Thank you, I really appreciate it. I downloaded them, but the resolution is very low and my aging eyes are struggling to read them. Could I trouble you to email higher resolution versions to me? My email is [email protected]. Thanks, Steve

Great art work, yes, great reference source for restorations, not so much. There were several reasons why the Club did not reprint it after the first printing.

Isn't there a new, improved version in the works?

YES

BUT….Unfortnately access to AND anticipated additional funding for help at the Benson Ford Research facility has not happened….THUS the “improved” 33/34 Restoration manual has been slowed to a crawl until such changes at the BFRC.
