Default Windshield-Rear window trim

I have the exterior SS trim for the windshield and rear window for my 47 Ford coupe. Wondering is it something that pops into place or am I going to have to put up a big fight?

If the rubber seal has the groove for the trim, u are good to go , gently push each side in until they just come together in the middle . The center strip holds it all together. The rear is same deal if the groove is there. Slide it in until the two ends come together at the bottom, small clip holds them securely. Note, I never saw a Ford with that SS trim it was used on Mercurys. So if your rubber doesn’t have the groove u will have to replace it with one for Mercury. Hope this helps.

"I never saw a Ford with that SS trim it was used on Mercurys". Our '41 fordor had s.s. trim around both front and rear windows, s.s.vent window frames, s.s. edged whiskers around the side glass but black painter rear quarter windows. later changed rear quarter windows to later s.s. framed windows to match rest of the car When we bought it from 2nd owner it was stock as came from the factory

Fordor41, with all due respect the question asked was for 47 ford, that was my reference when I claimed never to see one on a ford only mercurys. I know nothing about 41rear window trim.

This car was just a frame and a body when I got it and I've been buying pieces as I go.
