Check out those "skirted" fenders..Yike's! I'd say late 30's to early 40's , maybe?

That is a custom made Russian ambulance based on a GAZ-55.....probably from around 1934-1936ish. Note the stainless headlights. Those were eventually replaced by painted steal headlights in an attempt to reduce production costs and reduce production times. The GAZ-AA was eventually replaced by the GAZ-MM as Russia continued to conserve resources and costs as they got drawn into WWII.
