Here are a couple of 1935 Ford pickup and truck rail conversions.
I just love the chain drive from the rear drive wheels of the rail bus conversion. Steering wasn't an issue but the engine control linkages must have been interesting. The 1935 big truck conversion looks just like what is seen today and double four wheel bogie pickup is just too cute.

I posted the picture of the pickup, which apparently was used by a mining company in Nome Alaska on the "Narrow Gauge Forum" (railroad). These pictures were posted in reply. Apparently this has survived at least until recent times.

Thanks for the more recent images of that rail truck. I jumped the gun and your pictures made me realize that it's also a big (Model 51) truck. Sure would be fun to have that rail-truck in the back yard! Dave
