Default 46/47 Dash panel gauges

I have Period Correct USED gauges (oil pressure, amp, fuel) Is there a way to check them prior to installation?

Do you want to fully test them or just check for movement?

You'll need a 6v power source. I tested my fuel gauge by simply wiring the sender, gauge, and power with the sender out of the tank. Moving the sender arm should move the gauge. The amp meter can also just be wired up before installation to check it.

I'm not smart enough to know about oil pressure gauge testing.

I'd try my air compressor, an adjustable regulator, and some brass fittings.

I came up from the shop for lunch, read this thread and went down and put some junk together while Denny was typing.

Even better. The pressure source is genius. If your tire gauge is any good, you can even check for accuracy.

Just don't ask how I check the temp gauge (at 98.6) Back down to the shop after that one...

OK, so I know it's kinda gross thinking about holding that brass sending unit under my tongue like having your temperature taken at the doctor's office.... Heck, it'd have to be in there for at least ten minutes and I don't think I could go that long without talking! Where's the 'roll eyes' imogee anyhow? What?
