Looks like a converted sedan delivery rather than a coachbuilt conversion.

Apparently Seibert was a company that converted cars to ambulances and buses (or hearses) back then. I saved this image from ebay showing what appears to be a 52 Mercury. Too bad the quality is so low as to be almost unreadable.
