Default Air Filter

What is the preferred air filter option on a 36?

Should I stick with original style or is a oil bath filter better?

I had one of those tiny chrome hot rod element filters on and I'm 90% sure that was causing the rich running issues.

Oil bath for dustbowl conditions. Original copper mesh filter, properly oiled, does very well in filtering out horseflies, small birds, and rocks bouncing off gravel trucks, those being the only real danger to your flathead.
