Hello, great photo, why are open cars so popular in snow country? Interesting double gravity fuel pump to the left, real collectors item.Thank You for posting.

Here in Canada, (1942) Dad bought a 1928 phaeton that he drove in all seasons without side curtains. In 1944 we had a snowstorm that crippled our city streets but Dad got through, delivering meat pies from Granddads bake shop to the Westinghouse Canteen.

We still tour with that same Phaeton today, just not when they use salt to melt the snow.
