Years ago I saw pics of a "linked" fan belt here. Does anyone remember? Does anyone know who made it?

Those belts we used in the factories. Most came from McMaster-Carr or Grainger.

I am very happy with the cogged V belt. It grabs better and bends around the small pulley on my alternator better.

I now have a cogged belt on the car but carry the linked belt as a spare because I still have the clearance issue. The linked belt can also be shortened or lengthened easily on the side of the road if others need it. ![]() Last edited by Y-Blockhead; 09-08-2024 at 04:59 PM. Reason: Corret spellin' |

Have one on my 1914 Cadillac for over 10k miles. No problems. The company that made them first was LinkBelt

Is there any chance you could post some pictures of your Cadillac? I would love to see what a 1914 Cadillac looks like especially the engine!!!

Linked belts are made for table saws and can be purchased several places like Rockler, and Harbor Freight. They are much smoother running than the old type belt. Can balance a nickel on edge on my table saw while running with this type of belt
