The models A's that have a rumble seat have a rear inner curved panel. Did the 32 rumble cars also have one.

Rumble compartment upholstery side panels? If so, the answer is yes.

Almost positive they differ. Don’t mean it can’t be made to work

1930 1931 Model A Coupe and 1928-1931 Roadster Curved inner panel. It mounts to the rear body panel and goes down to the rumble seat risor. It is used on all rumble seat cars. |

Model A's do have a curved inner panel, it attaches to the inside of the body panel that is below the deck lid. 32 Fords with a rumble seat do not have an equivalent panel.

Wish the picture worked and I knew what you were talking about. Now I think I am missing one more item on my 5 window Model B. Guess I will take this opportunity to plug my search for a good B-9600 Model B air silencer / filter, missing that also and last part I need,I hope.

Ford called it a flame arrestor (from back fires) and it did not have the elbow shown in Pete's photo, but rather attached directly to the carburetor. It was primarily intended for four-cylinder-powered big trucks which did not come equipped with a silencer.

All 32 Ford passenger car Model B engines were equipped with the B-9600 silencer.
In Dave Rehor's book "The 1932 Ford Book" it is shown in chapter 5 page 49 along with a photo of the BB-9600 flame arrestor for large trucks. As previously stated, the elbow on the E-Bay item is not correct as it was not supplied originally.

If they all had it why are there not more floating around. The only one I had ever seen was the one on ebay.

They were optional at extra cost and perhaps got left behind on the work bench when the carburetor was worked on. Use your imagination.
