Post pedal pads

did the 29 model A Tudor tudor come out with round rubber pedal pads for the brake and clutch pedals? Just curious as my ones need replacing and the pads have 2holes trough each to screw into metal pedal

I think pedal pads as you call them were an aftermarket accessory. I base that on the pattern stamped into the pedal itself. All of the pads I have seen are poor quality and soon fall off. I think they are therefor a safety shortcoming so I don't use them.

They are a waste of time anyway . If you do decide to replace them the repro ones made are for the LHD oval pedals .

I've used the round step pads made for getting into the rumble seat as pedal pads on two cars. Never had an issue in 20+ years. I used a cutoff wheel to trim the stock pedals and drilled a 5/8" hole. The step pads use a fine thread bolt with a lock nut.

I don't have drawings for the round pedal pads, but I was surprised when I came across the Ford drawings for the original oval pedal pads/covers, dated July 1928. I always thought these were aftermarket, but I was wrong.

I'm assuming Ford also made them for round pedals, but have no proof of that.

Ford used round pedal heads after the model A era. There were several pattern variations of the vulcanized rubber portion over the years with the final types being the bulls eye pattern used up into the bonus built truck years.

Hot rodders would add a later 32 K-member or other cross member and pedal sets to fit in AV8 conversions.
