Default '36 parking light

My car had non original headlight reflectors installed when I bought it. They don't have a provision for a parking light. The wiring is still behind the reflector and I get voltage on the original wire when I switch the parking lights on. I would like to add the lights. I have the sockets, I just need to know how the parking lights are oriented on the reflector in relation to the headlight bulb..... above, below, off to the side? Thanks -Mike
