I have not had any luck finding information about these mystery distributors. They are obviously for a V8 early Ford.
Thanks Keith |

Kieth, from the looks of the crude machining on the base units, it looks like aftermarket adapter plates were manufactured to fit various distributors to an early Ford. Probably a very limited production run, certainly an ill advised venture. Great wall hangers, though!

Have you posted the photos on the HAMB? This would seem to be in their wheel house.

I will try the HAMB for their help also. I am thinking these were a DIY solution for simpler changing of the points. The delco reamy name is on the points and rotor.

Thanks for your input Terry. One has vacuum advance the other can be adjusted remotely while engine is running. Both have mechanical advance.

The closest thing Ford ever had was the G 6-cylinder distributor but those ain't it. One looks to be set for manual advance while the other is vacuum.

I have no idea how upholstery got in here. No one has been able to I.D. the creator of these ignition distributors. Could they be prototype units to make point service less difficult?
