Default 1950 glove box latch/lock removal

Does anyone know how to remove the glove box lock/latch? Do you need to remove the dash panel?
I can’t seem to find anything about it in the manual

Do you have the key, it should be the same as the ignition unless something has been changed.

There should be two small screws behind the lock holding it in.
You may have to remove the liner first
FYI
Glove box lock should be the same as the trunk.
Ignition should match door lock.

My apologies to Alberta50fordor; 32phil is correct about the keys. Old brain sometimes malfunctions.
