Default 39 and later brake adjustment

I have been trying to adjust my brakes. Just wondering if you start on the top or bottom, and if there is a sequence? Thanks again, Ron

I do not have a brake pedal jack, and usually not a human assistant.
Can the lower eccentric adjustment be accomplished by using the top adjustment to put the top of the shoes against the drum, and then adjust the bottom to get contact. Then back off of the top adjustment to where it is not dragging?

Lean a cinder block against it!! IF you need a little more pressure, measure from the cinder block up to the dash and cut a 2 x 4 just a little longer, push on the cinder block a little more and wedge the 2 x 4 in to put a little more pressure IF needed. You can measure the pressure from the block with a bathroom scale IF you have one
