Hey guys I’m in the process of working on my 50 merc and wanted some opinion’s hoping some of you have used these parts. Thinking on upgrading to disc brakes for the merc so I found a few different options . Kits are just straight up discs on OG spindles , or a tubular an arm kit with disc brakes . Looking for pros and cons to see if the an arm kit is worth it, and if the geometry is good or not . I know the an arm set I can’t use the factory wheels in front which isn’t a deal breaker for me. Any help/ opinions is appreciated!
Cant post links but the kits are from performance online |

Who makes the arm kit? That would tell us a lot.

IMO, the best disc brake kits are those made by E.C.I. [email][email protected].

I have ordered from POL and was happy with what I got, however I don't believe they are a Manufacturer. They sell a lot of stuff from many companies. Still would be good to know who makes the kit. Pardon me if I am wrong on this.

You’re right, it looks like jamco suspension. Which I’ve heard mixed reviews on as far as the company themselves not so much on the actual product

You might look into CPP which is Classic Performance Products. They are based in California and they make some very nice suspension pieces and brake kits. I'm not sure, but they may have bought Jamco. If they did I'll bet they improved the product line. Ph# 800-823-0937. You might also contact Summit Racing as they sell a lot of products from various manufacturers.
