The "standard" rear gear ratio for overdrive in the V8 was 4.11. I don't remember seeing any other offerings for hilly, flat, station wagon, police, etc, although there could have been some. In the early '60s I bought a nice '50 2-door and installed overdrive using the 3.73 rear. It worked great in my area and got over 20 mpg on the road.

You can go with 4.11 ,3.89 , 3.55 , 3.31 ,and 3.22. But with OD I wouldn't go beyond 4.11 or 3.89. Tim
