Default Upgrade to dual master cly

I am going to use a master cyl from a 67 mustang to put on my 55 t-bird. Does anyone know of 90 degree fittings that will screw into the master cyl and then accept standard inverted flare 3/16" brake line nuts?

I think what you are describing is a BANJO FITTING -

The ILL below will give you an idea of appearance but are for AN FTG.

That ILL actually shows a BIRD install (to clear BATT install). A vendor such as CASCO may have the correct size/shape fittings in stock.

Is this car drum/drum - MANUAL BRAKE or PB - are you doing a front disc brake conversion?

This is a drum / drum manual brake system. And I am going to stay with all drum brakes. I will check out CASCO, because if I don't do something like that, the battery heat shield will be a problem.

Depending on where you source the MC (original FORD PN C9AZ 2140-D), make sure it has RESIDUAL PRESSURE VALVES, one in each outlet.

Otherwise you will have to make modification(s).

The valve(s) are meant to hold line pressure (10#) on the wheel cylinder cups as the brakes shoes return to hopefully prevent the cups from shuddering on shoe return and allowing air being ingested into the hydraulic system.

FORD eliminated the valve(s) in the early seventies and went to an upgraded wheel cylinder design to perform the same thing. So repros and rebuilds may or may not have them. The 67 MUST OEM had them.

Since the master cylinder is above his feet, why would they be needed?

The valve(s) are meant (DESIGNED) to hold line pressure (10#) on the (DRUM BRAKE) wheel cylinder cups as the brakes shoes return to hopefully prevent the cups from shuddering on shoe return and allowing air being ingested (past the cups) into the hydraulic system.
If the MC is under the floor (low mount), the RPV is used to prevent fluid gravity drain-back into the MC (#2 DISC BRAKE CIRCUIT - #10 DRUM BRAKE CIRCUIT) resulting in a low pedal-delayed brake shoe apply.

This valve has nothing to do with quicker brake response and/or pedal height as correct brake shoe adjustment (DISC-DRUM - DRUM-DRUM) controls that. The only reason for a low pedal would be a incorrect/poor brake shoe adjustment, air ingestion via the wheel cylinders or wrong application MC.

Now if I didn't get across clearly, ask for me to clarify it (my 3rd grade education).
