Default Power Gen on a 21 stud

Working on a customers 34. It has a 21 stud flathead and he’s going 12 volts and supplied a Power Gen alternator that looks like a generator. Problem is that the pulley on the Power Gen doesn’t line up with the other pulleys. Put the original generator on and it lines up perfectly. They advertise 32-48 to be the same but what I’m finding out that’s not true by measuring original generators against the Power Gen. Has anyone experienced this before. ?
