Default How to support engine when replace transmission?

Ford Barn guys, For a '33/'34 pickup, we are interested in how you have supported the rear of engine when replacing the transmission via removal of the rear end. How supported and where supported would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike and Steve

You can build a support using 2 x 4's.

I use a bottle jack and piece of wood under the oil pan,I cut a hole in the wood to clear the drain plug and to stop it sliding around

I like to use a cherry picker to hold up the motor plus you can move her around a bit when installing the transmission back. I agree blocks to hold it in place if she’s going to be out for some time..

Bottle jack and a 2 x 4.
Small and out of the way.

Then a piece of 3/8 plywood to slide under the trans when you get it lifted up above the frame. The plywood becomes a nice resting point for the transmisson while you catch your breath and figure out how to lift it out the door opening.
