Speedometer Cable
Hey guys have a question. Since I’ve purchased my ‘30 Tudor I’ve been tackling odd vibration noises and fixing them. Last evening on our ride I found one of the last odd noises. The speedometer doesn’t work so I traced the noise to a broken speedometer cable. I removed the cable and installed the Hallow wire loom until I can order a new one.The odd noise is mostly gone now but their is still a hint of it their. Both ends came out from Speedo and tranny. Is their a gear in their that needs to be replaced? Any input would be awesome! Thanks

Re: Speedometer Cable
Get under your car and remove the speedometer drive assembly from the driveshaft. Two quarter inch bolts. See if it's dry inside. If so, pump grease into the u joint until grease comes out of the speedometer drive opening in the driveshaft. This may take an entire tube of grease. If your speedo drive is dry, then your u joint may be as well.
