I'm just at the body work stages of doing my 28 roadster and looking for recommendations on epoxy primer,
but would like it to have the factory dark red oxide appearance does anyone have any brand preference or mixing formula (tint) any help would be appreciated greatly Last edited by rust revival; 07-12-2022 at 06:48 PM. |

I would go to an automotive paint store and have them tint the epoxy primer. They can also give you the proper hardener for the temperature you plan to apply the primer.

DPLF Epoxy Primer comes in 6 colors; DP40LF (Gray–Green), DP48LF (White), DP50LF (Gray), DP60LF (Blue), DP74LF (Red Oxide), and DP90LF (Black).This is a PPG product, used the black on my Model A and green gray on a Buick. You can mix different colors to lighten or darken the red oxide.
