This is on an AA Truck it appears that to install these inside I have to cut out a piece where the top hinge is located in order to fit them home. Has anyone had to do this?

are you sure the moldings are for a Model A not Model T. the T`s look about the same but taller.

Your closed cab is type 82-A (same as used on the A-chassis). The finish strips you reference must be installed before the windshield female hinge and before the front belt rail finish strip.
