So finally decided to order a new set of "boot" trunk deck lid supports.
Found the required ones at C & G Ford Parts. 1946 Merc Coupe.
Ordered 16/7/21 and would you believe they arrived 22/7/21.
Now I am located down-under in NZ. I find this really outstanding

Another item ordered here in NZ a small 1/4" bsp tap ordered 09.07.21
arrived finally on the same date 22.07.21 How about that.
This item was screwed up by local NZ Couriers and took couple hours on phone to sort. 13 days!!
The above ex USA to NZ in 6 days is great!! Made my day

Phil your lucky it didn’t go through Japan. Sent a 39 Lincoln Zephyr headlight lens to the north island. It got stuck in Japan for 5 weeks. With 10 day guaranteed shipping. USPS said it wasn’t their fault so the extra $20 was a waste of money. That’s a part unobtainable do we were sweating it.

I love C&G. Lots of knowledge, huge inventory, awesome customer service. I had a call from them, out of the blue, back during the holidays. They just called to wish me a Merry Christmas.

Employees with little to do during slow time, so make phone calls to customers. That's a nice touch, but I suspect this year that call was paid for by U.S. tax dollars, Covid relief funds. Businesses could get a US guaranteed loan to make payroll, then if payroll was maintained, loan is forgiven, paid by US government. A little windfall for many businesses. Free money.

They are FIRST CLASS in my book, too!! Also love the fact they are a family business...current generation succeeded the parent founders.....very cool!!

Whilst C&G's service is to be applauded, I feel in this case, the accolades should go to the carrier. it was them that delivered your parcel in such quick manner...As B&S said, it's a good thing it didn't go through Japan. Sometimes the stars align for me too, I've had parcels from USA delivered within 5 days occasionally, other times takes months. Sometimes parcels sit here in NZ awaiting Customs clearance for up to 2 months. I know; I've experienced it.

Yes true as you say all must have aligned but they are good shippers and I always go with their option which ever is the cheapest with shippers.
Support local suppliers in NZ well if they are reasonable on prices??

I've never talked with anyone at C&G, though I've ordered from them on more than a few occasions. Their prices are usually very fair and their shipping is fast and accurate. They get an A+ from me!
