First one I have ever seen. Bought off Epay about 10 years ago for $13, including shipping. Has an A1 on one side and a 4 on the other. Just wanted to share, and see if anybody has information. Thanks Ron

there are lots of aluminum hydraulic pumps, but, i like iron

Keep the oil clean and it should work good for a long time.

Just guessing.
Looks like you would probably have to drill a hole in the normal pan on a Ford 8BA V8.

The aluminium one looks just like the iron one I took out of the 59 series flatty. The 59 type pickup housing would bolt straight on. It wouldn't need any mods for use on a 59 series (or older) motor.
What is the short bodied pump shown above, off? 8BA?

Yes upon looking farther it appears to be for 59 series.

the short one is 8ba missing the pickup tube

The body of that aluminum pump looks exactly like a '36 to '41 pump, but the pick-up is certainly unusual.
