Ladies and Gents,
Is this an air cleaner or some sort of heater apparatus? It came along with my 36 Fordor. Thanks, T ![]() ![]() |

It's most of a heavy duty oil bath air filter. It appears the bottom is absent.
And it is likely that it has been modified a bit. I believe, but am not 100% certain, this is pre 1937. I'm confident there are those here on the Barn that can dictate correct applicable years.

Rockfla, Thanks for adding to this discussion.
I believe the design was changed for '37 forward to what I have depicted in the attached photograph..

I believe this is what a complete assembly looks like. I got this when I was helping the widow of a friend of a friend dispose of some of her deceased husbands parts stash. He was into 32-34 pickups but when I asked around I was told that it wasn't 32-34. So I'm not sure what its from, just know I still have it.

The one i got has the flat top on the air duct. Its missing the mounting bracket. I think i took it off a truck but sorta recall it was a 6 cyl.
When did the truck carburetor change the top of the air horn to the bevel style? |
