Hello to each other,

the yummy coating of my steering wheel becomes unpleasantly sticky at warm temperatures. Does anyone have a tip to remedy? Cleanings with soapy water or brake cleaner or alcohol did not provide the solution.

I covered both of my A"s with leather covers I found on ebay . They work great.

I used mineral spirits to clean mine.

I cleaned mine with alcohol and used semi gloss rubber bumper paint.
It’s been sealed for years that way.

If you have an Original old Red one, Most of the time you cant stop it.. Gets real bad when its humid..

I agree, as my 1928 steering wheel does the same thing. I have a nice repro made by Drake years ago, and will install it at some point. In the meantime, paint is probably the best solution.
