When trying to adjust the mixture, my choke rod just turns and doesn't stop, not making a difference in the way it runs. The choke rod is original and the carburetor was just rebuilt. What's wrong?

Pull the needle and housing from the carb. Your needle has likely broken at the connection to the choke rod.
