Howdy boys, anybody know where I might find a new distributor shaft for my '48 F1 V8? Thanks.

Unless there is something special about it (first use of the 8BA post-type distributor), I would bet there are hundreds of them out there taking up storage space. I know I have at least three of them. I would send you one for postage. Unfortunately, I am away from my stuff for the winter. If you still need one in May, let me know and I'll send one. If wear is the problem, you may still have to install new bushings in the distributor housing or get another,

yup, normally the shaft is hard and bushing is soft for a reason, to be the cheap repair part that wears. Unless your's has had some odd abuse, double check whats worn, the shaft or the bushing
