guys this is continuing from my last forum, can anybody positively determine which transmission these gears have come from, regards Dan.

Looks like 1939-48 Ford closed drive shaft transmission gears.

Dan,
That gear set is '36 to early '39 . All helical but with the INTEGRAL SYNCRO. The cluster, 1st/rev slider, rev idler can be used with the later '39 up LOOSE SYNCRO gear set. The shift tower for these gears should have the 2 3/4" 2nd/3rd fork. Charlie ny |

Dan, Charlies got it right. No real improvement on your 35 gears apart from the helical first and rev. Brian

Not 1936, as they have fewer spline teeth on the low/rev slider gear and main shaft (one year only parts).

Guys i spoke to an old friend tonight and i've sourced a complete 39 transmission.... Very expensive..... A carton of beer!! Thanks for all the help identifying the parts above for me and what i need to do to put the 39 gears in my 35 case. Dan.
