Default Tie Rod Question...

Sponsored Links (Register now to hide all advertisements)
All of my Tie Rods (Spindle Connecting Rod Assembly) have the threaded grease fittings about 1-1/2 inches away from the Tie Rod Bolts except one. This Tie Rod assembly has the threaded grease fittings on the Spindle Connecting Rod Ends nesteled almost to the bolt itself.

Not mentioned in the Standards...but would this be for the early Tie Rod assembly used before the 4th and final spindle arm change which lengthened the threaded tie rod from 42-3/4 to 43-1/2 inches?

Also to...the Tie Rod Tube has a weld from one end to the other except the threaded ends.

Thanks.

Pluck
