Default Dome light

My 30 Coupe has what appears to be a original dome light. Question. I thought the dome light would have a switch as part of the light, Mine does not however there is a switch mounted under the upper part of the dash. I do not think the switch is anything near correct. Is this a Frankenstein.

There is a dash light. Switch on door pillar or on light may be broken off.

I have the dash light but there is no evidence of the dome light having it's own switch. I am not aware of a door pillar switch.

At least they DON'T have a door switch, to malfunction & run the danged battery down.
Tony, next door, had a Chrysler with 17 interior lights. He'd always run his battery down, while cleaning that BOAT! Or when he left a door slightly ajar!
