If you drove over that curb you would be flying...for a few seconds.

The Tesla will not last long. The organic (carbon based) structure such as the plastic dash and the carbon fiber 'frame' will fall apart. The cosmic radiation will break the atomic bonds and rip away the atoms over time. A slant window fordor would stay together for the long haul. The wood would break down, but it is mostly metal so it would stay together for a long time. Well.... Then there is the problem of the high speed things in space. That spec of rock going bazzillions of miles per hour ripping holes in the steel. Worse that baseball piece going insanely fast. I think a time lapse set of pictures over the long haul of the car would be really really cool. |

I heard Elon say it was just a normal car - not "hardened" for space. What happens to any gas filled items (cylinders, shocks, battery cells, etc.) in a vacuum?!
![]() But is WAS BEAUTIFUL! I particularly loved the two side boosters landing side by side. That is sci-fi stuff becoming real!!! ![]() |
