Default Electric fuel pump help

I just picked up the Holly Weber Progressive 2 Barrel downdraft carburetor, manifold, air cleaner, and throttle linkage. My question is what are you guys doing for electric fuel pumps?

I am using a low pressure 12V pump with a pressure regulator on my AA.(converted to 12V) I do not use the original fuel tank, but have a tank just below the flatbed near the rear of the vehicle.. Do not know if this info will help you.

Ebay has lots of 6 volt pump. Many are around 36 plus shipping. Many of the older pumps will not last long with todays gas and can get spendy for kit.

I bought a Holley rotary 12 volt fuel pump cheap at a swap meet. It puts out about 2 to 3 PSI when I run it on 6 volts with a 1 ohm resistor. On 12 volts it puts out 15 PSI and a lot of flow.

I had a bunch of failures of fuel pumps on downdraft carb setups. I tried the cheap pumps and none lasted. I finally talked directly to Carter. They suggested a NAPA 60504 which is a Carter 6V pump. 5 years and no failures.

Attached is a photo of how we do our fuel pumps, 6 or 12 volt. The one here is a Carter 6 volt application with a pressure regulator set at about 3#..As stated some of the cheapo's aren't very effective.

I've had problems with crappy fuel pumps, so came up with this solution. Can switch over in five minutes. I also use the Holley fuel pressure regulator with a gauge. The "dial" regulators are not as good as the used to be. Opps, photo is upside down!
