If you have one that needs relining take it to a big truck clutch and brake shop.

Thanks everyone.
Going to try to find a 312 flywheel that takes an 11" pressure plate as mine will only accept a 10.5. Had bought a 3 speed o/d replacement Trans, but the input shaft has a 23 spline. Any ideas where to find a new or used flywheel ? Summit is trying to locate one, but no luck yet. |

The car is a basic 57 Fairlane 500 2 door h/t, will be using it for a semi d/d and cruising around.

Try the TBird parts guys that also sell used parts. All TBirds (std shift) used 11 inch clutches.

To my knowledge all 312's were 11" as well as pick-up trucks with 292's. As far as a daily driver I don't think you would see much difference between a 10.5" or 11" clutch as long as it is a quality brand and not a Chinese rebuilt. I have had good luck with McLeod clutches myself. Basically you will get what you pay for.
