Default spare wheel well on front 28' AR fenders

I have a pair of AR front fenders that appear to be stamped with the fender....there is no lap on the fender well where it was spot welded....it is smooth and no bondo and body work....they are very nice

I have never seen an early 1928 fender with a fender well. Can you post photos?

It sounds like somebody did a really nice job installing a well.If you think about it,all the metal that makes up that well would have had to come from the hole for the well. There's just not enough metal in that hole to make a well out of.I once saw a 30's Buick that a young fellow had installed a well in.No flanges, gas welded, and filed to finish.I don't know who taught him,but his work looked like something only old time metal men would have done.
