V.I.N. number

I hope that someone can tell me exactly where the V.I.N. number is on a 1929 model A cabriolet convertible. I hope it isn't that hard to locate because I need to know really quick. There is plaque below the seat on the driver's side, but DMV won't accept that and I don't want the state police tearing into this car to find the V.I.N. number. Help, this one has really got me worried.
