Default Anti Rattle Springs

In a previous post of my, a long time ago, it was pointed out to me that I had installed the anti rattle springs incorrectly. I was told the they should go on the side, closer to the rear brake.

One of the anti rattle springs has only a round hole that will not go over the eye at the end of the rod, and will not go over the bump in the rod.

The other anti rattle spring has an elongated slot, but that slot is not big enough to go over the eye at the brake end of the rod.

So, my question is, where do these anti rattle springs mount on the brake rods?
