Default Gav on a Zenith

Someone on here just mentioned that they found that by turning off the Gav when they turn off the car that they stop a gas drip. Can someone explain what is wrong with the carb that this procedure will stop the dripping when the car is parked. Zenith's should not drip and this indicates that there is a problem. What is it? Jack

Could it be caused by a leak between the GAV housing and the casting?
