Default AV8 Front Spring Shackles

Has anyone used Speedway Motors spring mount with original shackle bolts? The original shackle bolt is smaller in dia than the Speedway mount. I would need bushings for the mount with a smaller ID to accept the original shackle bolt. What have other guys done on their AV8 projects for this situation?
Thanks
Richard

Use original stuff if possible. A lot of the aftermarket stuff is questionable. You may have to trim the unwanted stuff off the original type hanger bolts but they are correct and Ford made very good forgings if you can find usable ones.

I used some bronze bushings from the bearing house to fit "A" shackles to the 3/4" eyes in the perch bolts. You could also trim the flange of the urethane bushings and use those also. Another option: a friend makes new shackles that look like the '32 up shackles with castle nuts and cotter pins; but use either bronze or urethane bushings instead of the original sleeved rubber shackle pins. Look old time and work better than the repop Chinese
pieces.
