I would probably work with a rear sump pan (TBird or truck). In my 302 powered 48 Ford with an aftermarket crossmember and the rest MII (also Pinto and Bobcat) I had to use a rear sump pan to make it work.
Not sure about engine mount placement and whether they might interfere with the crossmember

Have you considered a front end from an Aerostar?

I wouldn't worry too much on this. I have a 48 Ford (302, automatic)with Pinto (Mustang II) front end (with an aftermarket crossmember) and haven't had any problems with it despite the car being driven all over. Same with a friend with a 39 Chev sedan. Many aftermarket parts available that are even better than the stock parts.
The parts to use are from a 74-78 Pinto, Bobcat or Mustang II.

Folks you are Killing me When I see these Post. It's not literally a Mustang ll suspension, It's the Geometry. There is 6000lbs cars riding around on Generically Termed Mustang ll suspension. Bigger crossmembers, Bigger Upper and Lower Control Arms. The only thing left that is used that is even Remotely close to the Mll is the spindle, and even they are Forged and beefier and might I add bridged by Forged Disc Brake Brackets.

With the 351 you will have to have a special oil pan because of the 351 is a front sump. Pans are available to make it work though.
