I have a couple of these model T heads and was wondering if there is a casting or serial number on them somewhere that would indicate what year these are from? Any help much appreciated. Thank you

Some Model T heads had a casting number at the rear. Your doesn't seem to. Early heads were not as high as later heads and are worth more money. This discussion shows the difference as well as some with casting numbers:
http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/29/29852.html I would think the one pictured is later but can't tell if it is high or low from that angle. The MTFCA Forum has many discussions about years of heads but is a lot to wade through. |

I should mention that the casting number is often the month and year. Most folks selling these just show a picture in their adds and don't specify the year.

Your seems like typical "high" cylinder head, 1917 to 1926. In 1927 the "Ford" "Made in USA" was removed.
The early 'low' head was used up into 1916 model year. Low head on right in photo. |

Looking at the original post, the photo shows a typical "low" head from 1913 - 1917 model years.

From a picture it is easier to tell a low head from a high head from the bottom side
