While redoing my 32 dash I recall some years back an article in one of the car publications that addressed adding defrost vents. While I have some ideas of my own, would like to revisit that article which I believe was in the tech section of Street Rodder or Rod & Custom....would appreciate any clue. Thanks,Ron

Be sure to also post on HAMB as the answer is probably there.

I put vents in the dash of a 32 pu several years ago. I fabricated some plenums for under the dash and then hand formed a pair of 4 inch louvers in the top of the dash which directed the air against the glass. Worked good.

Thanks guys, the slotted louver thing is what I'm considering, however briefly found by spacing the dash out 3/8 to a 1/2" or so from the cowl attachment rail gives sufficient room to run a flat plastic duct tube between the dash & the rail. It appears that the kick panel upholstery welting on the 'A' pillar would cover the fact that the dash panel protrudes from it's intended mounting area. Have yet to survey all the details however.
