If I decide to put a dis connect switch in the ground wire on my battery, what gauge wire should I use ?

You can purchase 00 gauge at marine stores or catalog from West Marine or Internet.

Use the same gauge cable that the model A was designed for. You wouldn't want to downgrade that...

You need #2 AWG. That is what Ford used originally. NOT the much heavier 2-0, 00, or "two-aught" that many confuse with #2. If you are running 12V then #4 AWG is good.
In any case, as long as you are re-working the ground wiring, an added lead from the same center crossmember bolt that one side of your switch is attached to, going to a tranny bolt is a good idea unless the car is a fine-point resto. |

I bought some to gauge wire from O'Reillys today I don't know what the standard is anymore but these would make excellent 12 volt cable but it was not near big enough for six vopt Cable I was also reading on Amazon or some guys purchased two gauge cable and was very disappointed in the amount of cable inside of the insulation I think that the standards or different on this cable so you got to watch what you bye
