Default 41 Ford rear engine bus question

https://youtu.be/mAwboVk3r4A
See the bus info at the 7:36 mark.
Was the engine in this bus a 85hp flathead or did they use the 337 flathead?

I THINK the 337 didn't come into use until about '49-ish. DD

V8Coopman is right. The 337 Lincolns didn't come out till 1949. I think the last year used was 1951 in the car and 1952 in the truck.

On a 1941 it could be and 85 HP 221 CID engine as standard but could also have a 95 HP 239 CID engine as an option.

The 1940 & thru '48 Ford rear engine buses were powered by the 239 cu in Mercury engine.
The 1944 rear engine bus began using a high volume fuel pump that became known as the "Bus pump" used by racers in the late '40s.
I suspect vapor lock was a problem with the rear engine location.
