Just wondering what you guys run and your cars? Do you run coolant or water with an additive?
Again I've said and a few other threads that I am going to be driving my car quite a bit so if it does not sit for a long time I would think it would be OK to run some kind of regular coolant in it? |

Plain water causes corrosion, scale, rust and will freeze during those unexpected cold snaps!

I know I'm going to get assaulted for this, but I have decided to run "waterless coolant" in my '28 Blackwall Tudor.

Water with additive.....my radiator has shown absolutely no signs of rust in 10 years, and I do not need anti-freeze in S. Cal.......

I admit, it is pricey compared to distilled water and rust inhibitor, but never needing to renew it, higher boiling point. These points are what interested me the most, and you can bet I will be putting it through it's paces as I am building this to drive!

50/50 green antifreeze. can sit for 30 years with no use and no corrosion on the water pump or in the head. With use it may need to be changed at regular intervals. I am in michigan and the car sat for 30 years in a detached garage in minnesota

I agree. When I bought my 1950 Studebaker about 3 years ago, the green antifreeze looked brand new, even though the car was restored 20 years before I bought it.
