Question Concerning Parts Longevity

Gentlemen: I recently purchased some parts from a fellow 'Barner who rebuilt them as spares a number of years ago. I, too, intend to use them as "highway emergency spares" but wonder: I would expect there to be no issues with the starter, but should I be concerned about the Tillotson? It has never been operational since rebuild - your thoughts and / or advice?
